Searey Sponson Mirror Kit, Set of 2.
The retraction system on the Searey does not verify the extension or retraction of the tailwheel, therefore the traditional way to check your tailwheel is to install a mirror on the sponson strut. These can be bought at any automotive store, however there isn't a good way to mount them to the airframe.
The typical mirror comes with an adhesive backed tape, yet the sponson strut is airfoil shaped and there isn't much contact area for mounting. Once installed, they are not adjustable and prone to coming off the aircraft. I've seen them installed with safety wire, and held on with massive, unsightly amounts of silicone.
